Today's Inspiration
Layouts by Sue Stacey

Layouts by Sue Stacey
Sue, thank you for sending in your beautiful layouts to share with us all!

"Real riches are the riches possessed inside."
"Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn't know it so it goes on flying anyway." -Mary Kay Ash
This quote reminds me that we can do anything we choose to do if we will just believe in ourselves.

This is the layout for our children's scrapbooking class on Tuesday. We will work with the Sizzix machine, punches and stamping. If your child is aged 6+ and would like to come along please phone 3366 0366 to reserve a place.

Kathleen made this card using the beautiful new Stamps Happen Christmas stamp. The fantastic thing about this stamp is that you can use it all in one or separate it into 3 different elements and just use the part you want! 3 stamps for the price of one.

This gorgeous card has been made using the Cricut (for the brackets, flower and "Birthday Blessings" and the clear stamps from Rhonna Farrer. We have also traced over the outline of the stamp with a white gel pen.

Yes, we do love these Rhonna Farrer stamps! This card has been a favourite with our customers. The flowers have been covered with texture paste and kindy glitz.

I hope you have had a great day - I have as I have spent most of the day playing with the Cricut! For those ladies who have ordered a Cricut - you are going to absolutely love it!!! I have sworn today to never hand cut a title again!!
Quote For The Day
"We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success. We often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably he who never made a mistake never made a discovery."
How true is this quote...
Have an excellent weekend!

Layout by Nolene Nielson
"Get rich quick. Count your blessings."
I would just like to say a big thank you to Nolene for sharing her beautiful layouts with us. We would love to publish your layouts on our blog so if you want to share your work with us please email us a scan or photo of your work. Also, pictures of books, canvases, boxes or anything else you have made would be great - let's all be an inspiration to each other!
Tip For The Day
It's easier to first sew the thread through your buttons and then sticking them onto your page where desired than sewing through the button and the paper.
Cricut Demo's
This Saturday we will be holding our first demonstration of the Cricut machine. It will start at 10am. You don't need to book - just turn up! Come along and see just what the Cricut can do - you will be impressed.
Children's Classes During School Holidays
This school holidays we have scheduled classes every week day over the two weeks. Check out the schedule on our website www.inkredible.com.au - make sure you phone to book a place as soon as possible as some classes are booked out and others only have a few places left!

Today's Inspiration

I loved the buttons in Nolene's layout so decided to copy her! I have also stamped Making Memories flower stamps and drawn around them in black pen.

I am in love with my Rhonna Farrer stamps that I have stamped along the bottom of this layout. I have also traced a swirl design from Fancy Pants chipboard on the sides of this layout. You may not be able to see them - click on the layout to enlarge which might make this clearer.

Tip For The Day:

Rather than keeping all those great scrapbooking ideas and tips in your head--you know, the ones you pick up from magazines, web sites, etc.-- keep a 3-ring binder with some notepaper inside for all your thoughts and ideas. Plus, when you see something in a magazine, you can simply tear the page out of the magazine, 3-hole punch it, and place it in your binder. The same goes if you see something on a web site that you wish to refer to later; just print it out and insert it into your binder. You can even separate the binder into a few different sections, such as page layout ideas, organizing ideas, neat tools/supplies, etc.

Quote For The Day:

"If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all."

~Anna Quindlen

Two more beautiful layouts by Nolene for your inspiration today!

So, our Cricut machine has arrived - very exciting!!! I can't wait to play with it next week - I will post some layouts and cards here of what we make. At the moment the only cartridge we have is the George cartridge that comes with the machine but we should have some more in a couple of weeks. I am really looking forward to seeing what the other cartridges can do.

Isn't the rain fantastic! Really good scrapping weather.

Quote For The Day:

"Having some place to go is home. Having someone to love is family. Having both is a blessing."

Tip For The Day:

I came across this today and wanted to share it with you:

"Nothing says "you" like your handwriting. Scrapbooking is a personal expression, not perfection."

This is so true! I think that many of us get caught up in trying to follow the "rules" of scrapbooking when really there are no rules! Sorry, there is but 1 rule:

HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE CREATIVE JOURNEY!

Write on your layouts and share your handwriting with generations to come. Your children will love looking back at your handwriting and I doubt that they will judge how neat or perfect it is.

Some inspiration for today!

Layouts by Nolene Nielson
Isn't this layout beautiful? One of our gorgeous customers, Nolene, completed it at one of our classes. She has used gesso and inks to create her own background. The stamps around the border are from the beautiful new range of stamps from Rhonna Farrer. Nolene will be sharing many more layouts with us here so check back often as she is a very talented scrapbooker!
Kathleen & I love quotes - here is one for today:
"Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you're going to do now & do it."

William Durant

Scrapbooking Tip For The Day:

Food is the center of many family celebrations. When scrapbooking your photos of a celebration, include recipes used for that special meal. Mum's special steak casserole, Grandma's special silverside. Take a photo of the help in the kitchen cleaning up. Recipes handed down generation after generation become famous!
