I received my copy of "the pRocess" from Rhonna Farrer in my inbox last night and was excited to see that she is starting a new challenge. And then Nolene came to me after class tonight and suggested that we get a group together (whoever would like to take part) and work it together. What a fab idea! It will run for 21 days starting on the 15th September (this Saturday). Rhonna is trying to encourage us to do daily creating which I think is a great idea - even if you can only spare a couple of minutes she says it will get your creative juices going. I thought that we could all post our work on this blog to share with each other or alternatively we can link to your blog if you have one. Rhonna will also link from her blog if you email her. So, if you are interested hop over to her site and check it out! Sign up for her newsletter also (the pRocess).

OK, well Blogger isn't working so well tonight so I can't upload any pictures to inspire you!
So... I will share some links to blogs I like.
Melody from Chatterbox has a really inspiring blog that I love to read. She shares from the heart about things that have happened and are happening in her life. She created the company with her husband and has had a lot of challenges in her life over the last few years but throughout has remained positive. Check it out for some daily inspiration!
This blog has some absolutely gorgeous layouts, cards and other projects. She works a lot with Making Memories and can I just say again that her work is gorgeous! If you like layouts that are uncluttered then you will like her work.
Rebecca Sower has been around the scrapping industry for as long as I can remember (obviously a lot longer than I have!). I never used to be a huge fan of her work but these days my tastes obviously have changed and I really like her stuff. She is really into vintage type embellishments which I think I love best about her. Rebecca also writes from the heart and has little gems to share.
I hope you are all having a great week. I am moving this weekend (yes, should be packing as we speak! anything to avoid packing...). So, wish me well and although i know we need the rain, would be really good if it didn't rain on Friday! Also, this week we are getting ready for Ngaire who is coming to visit next Saturday the 22nd September - really looking forward to that!

Today's Inspiration
The first layout here was inspired by Jen Hall. I promised some of you I would give you the link to her blog - sorry it has taken so long!

I loved creating the next layout and playing with the felt. We sell sheets of felt in store - $1 each. I have cut lots of leaves from green felt and then hand stitched the detail on them. I used the Autumn Leaves bird clear stamp to create the felt bird. I stamped onto the felt with a Brilliance ink pad and then cut out the bird and stitched on it. I used a tiny gem for the eye.

OK, now a lot of ladies are curious why the next layout is titled High. No, Kathleen and her hubby are not drug addicts!! "High" by the Lighthouse Family is their song. Yes, journalling is very important... I have cut the letters on the Cricut from acetate (clear sheet like an OHT). I then watered down green paint and painted the back of each letter. After it dried turn the letters over and apply rub ons onto the front of each letter. The idea is to create a transparent letter with a touch of colour. Some ladies who came to this class painted the front as they found it easier to apply the rub ons. It just depends what kind of effect you are looking for - I liked the see through effect that painting on the back gives. You can also then dry brush some paint on the front around the edges to give a distressed look.

The next layout is a Ngaire Bartlam page that I did in a class with her. She has created this page with one piece of white card and loads of embellishments from Finishing Touch Ideas. Check out their blog for some other cool ideas on using brads, buttons etc on your layouts. We are stocking more of their embellishments so if you see something on their site that you like let us know and we can order it in for you!

A blog I like to check out is All About Eve - it is a challenge blog. One of the challenges was to scrap your age. The layout below is my layout for 31 - nearly 32! Almost a grown up... Unfortunately I got carried away and forgot to leave room for my journalling which was the most important part for me! So, I turned the layout over and filled the back with journalling. Works for me!
